For the clumsy Busse blade owners there is now the Busse Wound Closing Kit avail on eBay. Buy several,or at least one for each knife. Send one to Jerry for when he tries to shave arm hair again.

What a combo!!! A Busse wound maker and a Busse wound closer!:D :D

Hurry , hurry, wetdog. Tell me now, as I'm taping up your SHSH and CGSJ. For a few extra bucks I'll throw in a couple:D :D

BTW: your sig line could never be more true, I always try to explain this to anyone in a "my cal vs. your cal" war. Seems to calm them down when you tell them, If I shoot you in the foot with a .22 or a .45 it going to hurt. But if the .22 hits you in the head, well think about it. It isn't too much different then that .45. Shot placement is everything. This got way off topic:D :D

:D :D Hmmm,thats a thought.

BTW Colt Woodsman (.22LR) favorite assination weapon of our very own Mafia and Israels Mossad. They both favored head shots. Very quiet, very effective. Cheap to shoot too! Don't think the wound closer tray would help in that case.

Wet, I very nearly bid on that kit, just to send it to Jerry for exactly the hair-shaving incident you mentioned. The irony of a knifemaker & suture-kit maker with the same name boggles the mind... ;)

Seems a Special Ops sort was having a discussion with someone who felt a .22 or a .32 auto was totally insufficient for self-defense. The SO's comment was, "When I put four rounds in your heart & a couple more into your head, it isn't going to matter much, now is it?"

Wetdog,

To the best of my knowledge and experience (nearly 30 years in the Middle East as a trainer for some militaries) Mossad most commonly used a Berretta (model 70 I think) .22 rimfire for assasinations. They use very lightly loaded ammo, just warm enough to reliably cycle, and walk up to the victim, with unchambered weapon, bring the weapon up holding it sideways for more efficient racking of slide(like in gangbanger movies, which is where Hollywood got the idea from BTW), and let fly with the whole magazine thru the hole in the ear. Too date, no failures.

My bad. I was under the assumption it was the Woodsman. Got the caliber right tho.:D In any event it worked really well.

.22 Q-Tips indeed!!

In the wake of the 1972 Munich Olympics terrorist attack in which a dozen or so Is*e*li athletes were murdered, the government wanted to make a strong point that this would not go uncountered, they tasked Mo**ad to track down the perpertrators and liquidate them very publicly. A lot of the killers were in Europe (France)and North Africa, (Libya and Algeria), so they (M.) didn't want a big shootout, just a nice quiet (hence the lightly loaded ammo) walk up and shoot down. The M. agents were out of the area, before the bodies hit the ground. the only mishap was getting some poor Moroccan waiter in Norway, But hey, sh*t happens.

Sorry, off the knife track, but I think they carried Swiss Army Knives. ok.
