Both are touted as some of the best blades in the world. Both are exalted by service members, outdoorsmen and collectors. If you had to choose between one or the other, which one would you choose and why? I couldn't make up my mind so I have one of each. Anyone really put theirs thru the ringer?

Busse!

Bigger market, awesome ppl who make them and awesome ppl who collect them.

Throwing the swamp rat hawks is fun for the whole family.

Busse all day, every day, and 4 times on Sunday.

Awesome people
Awesome warranty
INFI

I'd own both, but if I could only have one knife for the end of the world, it'd say Busse Combat on the blade.

bigger market, and awesome people? ...if the reason to buy a knife is because everyone else has one, buy a gerber or cold steel. do some research on Andrew Jordan and you'll be pleasantly surprised. No point in arguing with a Busse lover, because its like a religion, "all hail the incredible" but maybe you want something else, so why not look into something a little different by someone who makes each one by hand? I'm not knocking Busse as they make outstanding blades, however don't get trapped into the cult. it's like everything else.... just do yourself a favour and buy the knife you want. you won't be disappointed by either.

Busse.

I don't have a TGLB, but I've had tons of Busses and kin.

My Basic 9 has been put through the wringer:

I cut up an old refrigerator with mine once.... Ah, good times

The Busse feels like I could take down a cinder block wall with it, whereas the Jordan seems to be better suited for more normal day to day tasks. Whether that be field dressing a deer or running thru a jihadi ;) I'm thinking the Jordan stays on my side and the busse gets strapped to my pack.

Mr Jordan does make bigger knives... i recommend looking him up if you're interested (and rich... they ain't cheap!!!) his stuff is top notch and carried by some pretty hard-use people as well. there are quite a number of reviews of his knives on the internet. I can well imagine you wouldn't be disappointed in either case.

I love Andrew Jordan stuff! Only problem is greeting them in a timely fashion within my financial means. There are only 2-3 Busse I like, and the 4-6 week wait to me feels like an eternity too,I need almost instant gratification. Busse when available for order are more economical compared to a Jordan. Maybe not after
I often have dreams of this one
