We took a four day anniversary trip to Mt Rainier. We rented a cabin and went on hikes each day. It was awesome, and my Steel Heart got some fresh air. We lucked out with the weather. Found a half snow covered lake, crossed a waterfall, and found a stump that looked like it had half a skull on it. Feel free to add your own out and about trips to this.20220629_192122.jpg20220629_192046.jpg20220629_192021.jpg20220629_192104.jpg20220629_191958.jpg20220629_191915.jpg20220629_191734.jpg20220629_191717.jpg20220629_191612.jpg20220629_191432.jpg

Looks like an amazing place. Congrats on the anniversary. Thanks for taking time to share your trip with us.

Took a trip to Idaho to visit my folks. We went on the Hiawatha Trail, which is a 15 mile section of train track that was turned into a bike path on the Idaho/Montana border off of I-90. You go through 10 tunnels, the highlight of which is the 1.66 mile long (2.67 km) St. Paul Pass tunnel. It stays a constant 45 (7c) degrees and flashlights are required. There are also 7 trestles to go over of various length and height, some over 200 feet (66.66m) high. Thankfully you can start at the top, so it's downhill the entire way. You can ride back up or take the shuttle back to the top. The bus drops you off at the big tunnel so you get to go back through it. It was pretty amusing having little kids all around whooping and hollering through THE ENTIRE tunnel. There's nothing quite like a 15 mile ride on a bumpy gravel path to let you know your bike seat sucks!!! Went for a hike the next day at Farragut State Park. It was a WWII Naval base for submarine testing because Lake Pend Oreille (pondoray) is the fifth deepest lake in the U.S. at 1150 feet (350.5m). I didn't go crazy with the pics this time, because they all looked similar.20220717_124630.jpg20220717_140027.jpg20220717_135903.jpg20220717_140113.jpg20220717_140050.jpg20220717_140312.jpg

We tried to go on a 7 mile hike. We got about halfway to our destination and a man and his horse were coming down the other way. He looked at us and told us a cougar just took down an elk ON THE TRAIL RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM not too far back. His horse was still spooked. We were hesitant to keep going. After talking with him for a few minutes, we figured the cat pulled it's kill down the hill and would be occupied. We walked five more minutes and stopped for a quick breather. Then we heard a growl. My wife and I looked at each other and "noped" back down the trail. I put my treking poles away and had my hand on my Steelheart for at least five minutes while constantly checking behind us. It was still a nice hike.20220923_171904.jpg

It is a Forsaken Steel Heart with Nano Fusion handle and nuclear option that gives it the fuller and lightening under the handle scales. It was released late 2018.
