Busse prices

Hey Guys, I have been out of the knife buying and selling for a little while now. I’m thinking about selling a few of my Busses. Has the value of Busse gone down some.

Just curious. I don’t need to sell them. They can stay where they are. What do y’all think.

With all of the knives available from the mothership in recent times, it seems to be a buyer’s market. That is, unless you have something special. We can’t really give you specific prices because you don’t have a gold membership.

You can type the model and/or model acronym into a knife exchange search & you might see what they were listed for. Understand a lower offer or combined sale offer may have been accepted in a DM, unless there’s an “I’ll take it” type of post.

If you perform the search, be in the Busse sub-section already… and select the dropdown to pick “this forum only.”

Some old ads are revised to hide price following sale… so your search results will have some duds.

The market is definitely different these days

Over saturation with new models

A lot of the older knives that were extremely sought after (BAIII, SJ, etc.) are not recognized as being special knives like they were in the past. There is a new demographic of younger people coming into the hobby. It’s just a matter of them not being aware of what they’re looking at.

I agree with Nuker. Your best bet is to search for sales and try to see what people are paying. I have noticed some of the Busse knives I have that several years ago would have sold quick now when I see someone selling the same knife there are several price reductions before they sell.
