Busse print catalogs

Howdy.

Back in the 1990s I read a review in some magazine of a Busse knife and sent off for a catalog. The Badger Attack is what caught my eye. But at the time I was spending money on guns and later a Harley, so I always put off getting that Busse knife. Recently I've gotten interested again in getting some "hard use" knives, and decided to join Bladeforums. I also got to looking around online for Busse info and discovered that no one is showing pictures of that old catalog, even though they've got pix of old Busse magazine advertisements.

I've looked everywhere at home and I can't find my copy of that catalog either, so I must have "lost it in a move" or in a fit of insanity tossed it - which surprises me to no end because those Busse knives where always what I wanted "if I ever get the money".

But this has got me wondering about Busse print catalogs. How long did Busse offer a print catalog and why aren't there any pix of them online (that I've seen, anyway)?

By the end of the summer I'll be moving again and I'm hoping to find my copy of the catalog. If I do I'll try to get some pix.

There was a tri-fold pamphlet that had the then-current blade models offered.

Had an LE Battle Mistress on the front.

Those models (in those versions) are long discontinued, but new versions of each (except the Police & Combat Recruits) have been offered in the past few years..

Some hold those pamphlets as desirable collectable items.

I have to concur with thatmguy.....I had/have that tri-fold somewhere as well as on that had the skeleton in the grave holding the steel heart......I think, but that may have been an old add in magazine. anyway, there was a tri-fold :D

Did you ever end up getting a Spine "Logoed" AK to fill out that set?

As I remember you have the other three, or is the Steel Heart with a Logo not a Bird's Beak?

I have the spined "BUSSE" logo MS, SHBA and BBSHSH, I didn't know that there was a AK with the logo on the spine! :eek:

I do not know that there is an AK with the Logo on the spine, just that they were all offered at the same time.

I think therefore that the possibility exists that each knife offered at that time might have the same Logo.

Makes for interesting thought.
