I have searched and can not find much on this wild looking Tanto. I am hoping to find out a little history about this blade. Any help would be appreciated.
There's no a whole lot out there about them. I believe it is based on a BAE blank and suspect it was an over run from a contract. PT stands for Protection Team, so you can take a guess who they went to. I know I had wanted one since the first time I saw a picture and was able to get it a little over a year ago. It's one of those blades that cannot be done justice with pictures and the one that almost always turns on the drool factory for even non-knife people if they don't run crying from the room .. haha.. . I am a sucker for tanto's even with their limited applications, and IMO the PT5 is the epitome of the American Tanto.
