Hey guys...

I usually hang out on the Spyderco forum but I was looking at some Busse's at their website (www.bussecombat.com). I don't see any of the "Basic" line listed. Are they still made?

I also saw a pic of some smaller fixed blades (narrower blade, drop point, straight handle) and I couldnt seem to find them anywhere on the web. Do you guys have any idea what the name of that knife is, and/or where I might find pics/prices on the web?

Thanks...

The Basics are discontinued, but some dealers still have them, and there've been several going on ebay the last week or so.

From your description, the other knife might be a straight handle Badger Attack or a Mean Street. Both of those are discontinued, and carrying high price tags. There is an A2 Badger and Mean Street on the For Sale forum right now (that's the only place I ever see them FS).

Eric...

Thanks for the link. The one I was asking about is the second one down (smaller with brown handle) on the first picture. Is that the Mean Street?

Nice looking knife. Are these still made?

You used to have a knife on your little picture by your name.... it was a fixed blade with a brown handle. What is it?

Thanks again guys for the help and the answers...

Matt,
Yes that is a picture of a Mean Street. They came in Several different thicknesses (MS=1/4", Lean Mean Street=3/16", Dessert Warfare MS=.23") and are all discontinued. You will often see them for sale on the Individual forums but they are bringing a premium.

The knife I used to have under my name was a Badger Attack with the Ergo(E) handle (BA-E). This knife is still in production and is one of my favorite Busses. It is small enough to be easily carried and large enough to handle a wide array of cutting tasks. here is a picture compared to the Slightly larger Natural Outlaw.
