Do all Busse's have the name on the blade? A friend of mine has what looks like a battle mistress but it has no markings

Some are sterile, meaning no visible markings, either by request or because the production run specified so.

Some models are "Sterile" The old busse's like the Steel Heart I, II Badger attack and mean Street had no markings whatsoever on them. "back in the day" it was difficult to sell Busse knives at Gunshows and such because, unless the person Knew about Busse's or had seen his demonstrations that used to be on the sales cards that came with the knives or read about them in Tactical knife magazine,, You didn't know what you were getting.. Now, mil. contract knives don't have the name and some others. such as my # 72 Fusion Battle Mistress I got from the Cupid Ganza doesn't have any markings. Of coarse now, the Busse name is out so much that almost all "real" knife people know of Busse.. If your buying. just don't get fooled by a "quote Busse knife that isn't a busse at all.. Check on Ken Lunde's, and Mr. Mojo sites for pics of all the Busse knives.. Hope this helps some
