Prepare to be shocked and dismayed!!! Yes, a lifetime knife lover who has never owned or until a year ago heard of Busse Knives!!! Seriously though, I've done some research, but other than the fact the INFI is supposed to be a superhuman steel, I can't figure out why these knives cost as much as they do. I've been to their website, and they only sell two little models. Not the Quasi-machetes I've sometimes seen pictures of. Could someone help me out here?
Thanks!

Greetings Lovetheblade... check out Busse's little home on BladeForums over at the makers and manufacturers section. They might be able to help you.

Their website is currently under re-design for introduction of the new models. Their is a thread of what they will have to offer taken from the shot show. I think there were about 15 mods, all new or re-designed.

Hopefully it will be up shortly. You can also go to the busse forum and look at the thread at the top of the page to see what mods used to be available. You will see what were regular models, customs and pictures of special runs like my JABA.

yep, the Busse forum right here at good ole BFC is the best place for info right now.

As to the price, Jerry says the steel costs a good bit, and I believe him. The knives also price pretty comparativly to other high end manufacturers.

If you beat the **** out of one and see what it is capable of, you will be sold. At least that's what got me... After I tried INFI I saw no reason to go back to other stuff when a Busse was available to fit my needs. Of course Busse doesn't make every blade I want(unless I go custom, but I'm too damned cheap and don't want to wait that long), so I have many other knives in many other steels, but INFI just impresses the hell out of me, so I'm more than happy to pay what Jerry asks for what he sells. As a matter of fact I find them very reasonable for their high level of performance.
