THat is quite the interesting blade its certainly busse like but it says one the for sale thread tha tits o-1 and that makes me curious, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery you know, if someone couldnt fin an ash im sure that knife would give a good feel of the high points of the knife design.

I actually think this is a Busse that someone has modified. This is another one for sale as well and it totally looks like a mod.

It would be a SHSHII if it is a Busse and the guy bought it from a knife show so he could be wrong about the O1.

How can you think that??? O1 tool steel (on both as advertised), and both sold for $125??? It's a rip-off, copy, clone, whatever... With a trademark violation. I highly doubt any SHSH was that low in price when they were available... Although I could be wrong on that. I vote for it not being a Busse at any point in its life.

No Offence but I friggin HATE this comment.

Well, it is true... Right up until the moment the person who made the "imitation" attempts to sell the "imitation", then it's a flat out disrespectful insult.

The only Busse imitations/copies that I like are the SHSH's that randucci made, because he went about it the right way. He got permission from the Boss, and IIRC, he promised to not sell them.:thumbup: ....And they look great! He did a fantastic job on them.

I just thought maybe this guy bought something that was modded years ago by someone when busse's were cheap and the guy selling them at the knife show told him the wrong steel type or he got it wrong? Hell Randucchi carves up brand new stuff all the time and so do lots others. the lines on the first one look right.
It may not be likely your right but the first one made me think maybe.....

Let me explain the reasoning behind this comment, i know a couple of budding knife makers and alot of them combine elements of production knive sinto their personal pieces. i dont think there is anything wrong with this.

While i agree this knife is on a whole different scale as it is a direct copy being sold for profit it could have been being sold by one of those begining knife makers enthralled with a busse design he might have just seen the pattern somewhere and had no idea what it was. There could be circumstance to that knifes creation that you or i dont know so im not going to make a harsh judgement against the knife or the maker until i know the whole story behind it, that would be imho petty and childish,

in no way is it trying to be passed of as a busse so i dont even consider it a rip-off. onc ei have the final judgement.

If a martial artist is impressed with bruce lee and tries to imitate his style do you not believe that its flattering? or if admire other soldiers physical stamina or endurance do you think its wrong of me to work-out 4 hours every day so that i can out pt that person?

i think that copying purely to turn a profit is wrong but i also think that if you really like or believ ein something and you try to emulate it then its not abad thing.

I'm voting Blatant ripoff. The way the seller says "Thanks for checking out my knives.." gives me the impression he might even be making them himself. He has been a member for only about a month...

We contacted the seller and he told us that they were bought at a gun show in Gibraltar, MI but was unable to remember the maker's name. They are an obvious ripoff. I would be surprised if any more of these pop up. Thanks to those who had already brought this to our attention.

Jerry :D
