Ok guys, am thinkin on gettin a Busse and got a few questions--bear with me & sorry for my ignorance.
I go to the Busse website and only see a few knives available-not anything I'm wantin.
Did search and browse, nothin.
I read some older threads that recommend Ash-1,NMSFNO,DSF,TMDSF--are these limited run knives or can I still order them?
Just wantin a multi use knife thats 4-6" give or take for utility, light bushcraft & hunting.
Any advice appreciated.

Thanks,
Mark

Only a few designs are available at any given time. The ones you listed (Ash-1,NMSFNO,DSF,TMDSF) as all past designs that are no longer in production.

You can still find most of them for sale in the classifieds section on a regular basis. You can also call the custom shop and ask them if they have any blanks available for the model you want

I can personally attest to the fact that the Muk and TGLB are excellent

Your best bet is here on the exchange if you want one fast. They don't offer many models at any specific time, but you can send Lexi, Pokey or Garth an email and see if they have any blanks of one that you're looking for.

I might be sending a similar email inquiring about AK blanks soon...

It took me 9 months to get my AK, but it was TOTALLY worth it. Buy one. You'll love it

I will probably do the same. I have my Rucki and Waki now, but still need an AK (and maybe even a Gladius) but whenever I see them pop up on the exchange or ebay they are priced quite high. Wonder what the custom shop would charge?

Welcome to the forum Mark. Busse only have the Team Gemini Light Brigade(TGLB), Argone Assault Light Brigade (AALB) and the Anniversary Mean Street (AMS) on offer right now but the rest of the anniversary blades will come out in 2013 and that would be the MOJO and the ASHBM.
Since you are looking for a multi use knife thats 4-6" i doubt the MOJO or the ASHBM would be your cup of tea so if you want something new from Busse that fits your needs right now you should take a look at the SARGE7 in the Busse company store(http://bussecompanystore.com) it is a 7 " really light but sturdy knife.

Another knife i think would be perfect for you is the SFNO ( the SFNO you will need to pick up on the exchange)

Here is a pic of some SFNO's

And here is a pic of the SARGE7 with orange and black G10 (the only varient still in stock)

My thoughts on the gladius: It was one of the coolest feeling swords I've ever owned. It handled well (but a little heavy). It's one major drawback, the thing i just couldn't get over, was that it was too thick to really slice well. It's an awesome stabber, but i have my doubts that it would be very effective as a slashing blade

Of course, a gladius is a stabbing blade, so there's nothing wrong with that. The AK47 on the other hand, is the coolest sword i own. It's awesome

To be fair the original Gladius was designed for thrusting and hacking so thinner blades will always slice better.

Active Duty AD
Boney Active Duty BAD
Meaner Street MrS
Leaner Meaner Street LrMrS
Pork Shank PS
ASH-1 (the skinny ASH is the better choice)
Busse Old School Series Satin Jack BOSS Jack or BJ
Choilless Anorexic BOSS Street CABS
Anorexic Basic 4 B4

The AD is a little short, the rest are in the 4 - 6" range. Many of these were made in several thicknesses, the fatter ones would not be as useful in buschcraft, IMHO.

Good luck, the quest is part of the fun.

I was looking for a second gladius. My first was purchased through the custom shop, but when I wanted another, there are no more blanks left, only the $2k satin as of a month ago. I looked on the for sale page here and found another. They go for a few $hundred over the custom shop price, but are so worth it. Its more of a stabbing / slashing sword, rather than a fine cutting one. My all time favorite Busse, thats why I have 2, but the TGLB featured almost weekly in The Walking Dead is pretty darn sweet too....!!!
