So I have a Basic 6 and a scrapper 6 and a new m6. I love a 6 inch for a easy to carry do all one knife. But the SAR6 is the one I really want but they sell as fast as they go up for sale. Plus the SR M6 was a steal so I bought it. It is a true tank of a knife just have not a chance to use it. The Basic 6 and scrapper 6 with res- c are really nice and light. Also the Sarsquatch intrigues me due to the thinner stock. (reminds me of my Esee 6). Anyway I don't see many Sar6 in use threads or pics or reviews. Should I keep hunting for one or am I set with the m6? Any one with comparison Pics of the 2?

Ps. Will post in the swamp for there take to keep fair lol

I don't own a SAR-6, but I can say the SAR series is great for a lot of reasons: great handles; blade profile & proportions; useful jimping; attractive; etc. I think you are all set on 6" knives, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't get the SAR-6. If you have the money, I would say go for it! I have had good success posting a WTB thread for a knife I am after. Also, you can always see if you can find one at Knob or another show, or find a proxy if you can't go. If you are OK with a 7" blade, you may want to grab a SARGE-7 SE when they hit the company store.

If it helps any, my favorite 6" blade is the ASH. If I had a need for more blades in that size range, the SAR-6 would be at the top of my list.

Good luck!

You really can't go wrong with a SAR 6 or SARGE 7 which could be snagged when they next become available for a little less money in the SE versions at http://bussecompanystore.com
However, that Basic 6 is going to cover you just as well as a SAR 6 will INFI oz for oz.
The SYCKO 711 is an excellent factory priced low cost option in SR101 as well.
Team Gemini LB and SARGE 7 are the only INFI options you will find at factory pricing right now though, the rest will have exchange markups unless you get really lucky.
ASH1, SARsquatch, Team Gemini, SJTac, SFNO all fit in that size range too.

Here are a few together for comparison to a SAR 6

SAR 6 in use pics or reviews you say? Searching is your friend. ;)

I went here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/search.php?search_type=1

Then I select Busse Combat Knives in the forum list and type in different combinations of words that I am looking for:

I searched for sar6 + threads started by aztimt and two of my old threads came up since I had no idea what page they had disappeared to.

searching sar6 + user pulled up several, heres just one http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/799607-SAR-6-Comparison?highlight=sar6+user

searching sar6 + review pulled up this one http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...-(skinny)-vs-Hell-Razor?highlight=sar6+review

searching sar6 + comparison brings up way too many to list... yup, I'll say it again, searching is your friend. ;)

And if the bladeforums search feature is down, try using what ever search terms you want followed by site:bladeforums.com for an amazing list on google. :)

Best way to search the Bladeforums by content if you know what you're looking for. Or even if you don't. In other words, "SAR 6 pictures" vs. "what is the biggest Busse?"

Aztim I seen your pics before but like I said not many pics or reviews out there. Thanks guys the Rats mus be hiding cuz nobody posted anything at the swamp???

Unfortunately there aren't many reviews of the SAR 6, but the speed with which they disappear may be a good indication about them. I don't know how many were made total, but if there are more than 500 out there total with all the different options I would be highly surprised. It is a really sweet knife and works well as a belt carry knife. I had a Chuddy Bear multi mount sheath made with magnetic retention, behind the back horizontal scout carry, drop loop or drop leg all built in. It has been a very handy woods knife to carry on the belt in the small of my back when I go get firewood as it is always there but never in the way. I also have my skinny ash set up this way. Those are two of the knives I know I am never getting rid of.

I seriously think that if you can score a SAR 6 or SARGE 7 (the extra inch would be really nice and isn't too big, just like the Team Gemini) you will be really happy with it as long as the handle felt right to your hands. The handle design is one of those where it is either awesome, or not very good depending on the person. Most people lean toward the handle being great though. Plus, you know you can sell it if you don't like it.

The swamp doesn't seem to get near the responses you get over here. I don't have an M6, but I do have a Ratmandu and a SR Mini Mojo (about an inch larger than the M6 and same size as the SAR 6) to compare if that is any help at all? The Mini Mojo doesn't feel near as good as the SAR 6, but the RMD feels better in hand, might arguably be the best feeling handle out of Wauseon. :o
Here you go.

I don't have an M6 but I love my SAR-6LE, I have a Chuddy Bear Sheath on order with a piggyback sheath for my SAR-3LE, This will be my GoTo setup.

Very sweet pair you have there and a good plan!

If I could only take one knife in the woods for camp or survival it would be my SAR6. I had an M6 as well. It was decent but I like the Sar6 better. The blade profile and length were more functional in my opinion. Someone will always argue a longer knife will chop better, but where do you draw the line? Eventually you lose small knife ability. I feel the SAR6 is the perfect middle ground. Sure you can often have multiple knives for multiple tasks, but I think the S6 is a home run. Big but not too big. Robust but not too fat. To me it just screams survival.

Thank You my friend,
Of all the sales and trades I've done, These two beauties have never been offered, They are mine forever, It's like they are a piece of me, It would be like selling or trading my heart.
I would die!!!!

cut it out, You won't regret whatever price you pay for your very own SAR-6, Love it and treat it well and it will reciprocate.;)

I was thinking of the Sarge7 but I can't imagine what idiocy possesed them to remove the jimping (on a knife designated as a survival and rescue no less). On a $450 knife, for me thats probably a deal breaker.
