Are they generally considered the strongest fixed blades? I'd like to add a Busse to my micro-mini collection (for edc). Sort of wanted a smaller model....around the size of an RC-3 or RC-4. Thanks in advance.

yea , IMO they are the strongest fixed blades(busse) , be carefull they are like pringles you cant just have one :). swamp rats are very tough good design blades as well , but holding INFI is like nothing else, the balance and weight on busse are something to behold. if budget is a concern then i say go with swamp rat you just cant go wrong for the money. but if you do have some change id say check out these, busse: GAME WARDEN, SAR3 , ACTIVE DUTY on the 3" to 3.5" range or CABS, BATAC,OR MEAN STREET,URBAN GRUDGE in the 4" range.. If your leaning more towardds the rat series, im sure someone will chime in soon with more exp than me in that area. HAPPY HUNTING

All the Bussekins are very strong fixed blades IMO. Probably THE strongest. Check out a Scrapyard Dumpster Mutt if you get the chance. If you want really small, the Swamp Rat Swamp Warden is affordable and a great little EDC sized fixed blade.

The Busse BAD (Boney Active Duty) is a great knife in your size range.

The Swamprat HRLM (Howling Rat Little Mistress) and RMD (Rat Man Du) are some knives in the RC3 and RC4 size range.

Wow that was quick! LOL! Thanks for the suggestions. I'll be sure to check out SwampRat.

One more thing though. I visited the Busse and Scrapyard sites expecting to see the models they offer, but they hardly had any posted up? Do they have another website that shows a more of what they offer.

BTW, I sorta liked that the Street Scrapper 4 (on Scrapyards site)....even though I want something with a shorter/stouter blade. Sweet looking knife.

Here are a couple of sites that have past offerings from Busse:

www.hogcult.com
www.bussecollector.com

Right now Busse current offering is on their website. It will be on there for a while then you can no longer purchase it from them. There are some decent deals on the Busse/Scrapyard/Swamprat Knives for Sale forum here on blade forums.

If you buy a Busse, shop around. Don't jump at the first thing you find, you may end up over paying and feeling like you got burned.

I don't like smaller busses to be honest, I feel there are better values out there. I think INFI really shines in heavier/larger fixed blades, but that's just me. I think for smaller blades there are better choices, but none of the smaller designs really interested me. I'd buy a small swamprat over a small busse any day, especially for the price point.
