Thanks to the outstanding combined efforts of our humble moderators, I'm the newest proud member of the Busse family (BA in hand and SH variant inbound). Provided I do my part in subjecting these beauties to a few years of consistent hard use, I'm sure the day will eventually come when I'll want to touch up the razor sharp edge. I did several searches on "Busse sharpening", "Battle Mistress Sharpening", etc., in both the Busse and General forums and drew a blank. If anyone could provide links to any threads describing the recommended method for sharpening the assymetrical edge, it would be most appreciated.

Thanks again to Jerry and Andy, and everyone else behind the scenes, for providing a super product at a fair price.

Bronco--
When will we see a review of the Badger Attack? I'm counting on you, pard.

Thank you gents, that's exactly what I needed.

Will, my brother and I have a short trip planned at the beginning of next month to do a little trout fishing in some of the high lakes in the Sierra Nevadas. It'll be your basic hike-in, primitive camp affair. It was my full intention to bring along the BA and give it a real world workout. Then, as fate would have it, Andy suddenly comes across a Steel Heart variant, and to make a long story short, it arrived today. BTW, Andy's level of customer service throughout this transaction was everything we've come to expect and more. The last seven hours at my desk have been pretty much a waste as I find myself unable to concentrate on anything else. I'll make an attempt to work for 3 or 4 minutes and then I find myself powerless to resist the urge to open the drawer and stare at it some more. The bead blasted blade is a hair under 5/16ths thick and is 6 1/2 inches long. The perfect size for what I've been looking for. My command of the English language is utterly incapable of accurately describing what a presence this knife is in your hand. My hat is definitely off to Jerry on this one.

So you can probably guess which one will be going on the trip with me now. I think the only solution to this dilemna is to be a good big brother and let my little bro borrow the Badger Attack during our trip. I don't want there to be any sibling rivalry amongst my new Busse twins. Either way, there will be some Steelheads who feel the wrath of the Steel Heart and full details will be disclosed at the first opportunity.
