Busse sheath question--can I buy JUST the kydex insert?

I'd like to buy a kydex sleeve for my SHII-E, and the kydex insert out of a standard Busse cordura sheath would be perfect.

For those times when it's not appropriate to carry my SHII-E on my belt, or rig it on the outside of a pack, this would allow me to carry the knife inside a pack without the extra bulk of a standard sheath. It would also fit more easily into places where space is at a premium, such as in the door pocket of my pickup.

I don't know who to contact--is it possible to buy one of these kydex inserts direct from Busse Combat, or should I contact the sheath maker?

Thanks--Will

Will.....
I know this is a bit "off" the subject, and I'm also sure that someone else will be quick to suggest an On/Scene offering....
However, the an On/Scene would be nearly as compact(mine is not much larger in profile, and adds NOTHING to the thickness). It would also provide better retention than the insert alone. Lastly, you'd always have the means necessary to attach it to a belt or waistband if the need presented itself.
I have the cordura and felt there was way too much extra material, so I bought an On/Scene from a board member. BIG difference, it is just as if you were to stick double-sided tape to the knife, then stick it to your hip.....except there'd be that nasty edge gettin' in the way. It's extremely compact.

Slag--Thanks for the suggestion. So when are you going to sell me one of your spares?

I'd still like to get a kydex insert, if I can find out who to order it from.

Or if anybody has upgraded to an aftermarket sheath for their SHII-E, I'd be happy to buy their used standard Busse sheath and cut the kydex insert out of it. I'd go $20 on one, with condition unimportant. Dirt, abrasions, cuts, tears--no problem.

Anyone...?

Thanks--Will

Looks like Normark solved my problem on this one. Thanks, Eric!!!

I too, would like to know where I may get a spare kydex insert. Any help would be most appreciated.

TIA,

Roy
