Busse sheath question

I just got a good deal on a Normark (?) sheath for my BAE. It's retention spot is a bump that snaps into the first hole on the handle. I was just curious if those that use this sheath on a Busse find that the rubbing of the retention bump puts a groove on the scales. I was thinking of trimming the sheath down to the beginning of the handle and adding a srew and bolt near the finger guard to keep the knife secured, but I'm not sure if it will work. Thanks.

I really doubt that the kydex bump is going to rub a groove in the micarta, the micarta is pretty tough when it come to wear resistance. I would skip the screw and nut idea, a properly designed kydex sheath will hold the knife securely in place.

I've got one for my ABA and my LMS, I EDC the LMS, and haven't noticed any issues with the retention bump.

Eric's sheaths are great !! :D

I'd be more worried about the scales rubbing a groove in the micarta. Seriously, you could probably use the handle texture on a busse to file through most softer plastics (like kydex) without harming them one bit.
