What are the dimensions for a Battle Mistress nylon-covered kydex sheath exterior pouch? I am just wondering what size it is and what can possibly be carried in it (i.e. ferrocium rod, compass, etc.).
Thanks for all your help guys,
Kev

The dimensions of the pocket are:

Just under 5" in length, just under 2.5" in width, and about 1.5" deep.

You'd be surprised how much stuff you can put in this thing :D

I know it fits an Altoids can nicely. However, Currently I'm carrying a Surefire 6P and a mini sharpening rod in mine. :D:D

I carry a Leatherman in mine. If I remember right, a
mini mag light just fits too.

I also posted this on the Survival forum on your thread. Here is what is in the kit I have put in mine. The bulk of the items are in an old 35mm slide box, while the Photon II, bag, and sharpener are loose.

1.5 sq ft heavy duty aluminum foil
#10, #11 scalpel blades
BSA Sparklite & striker
3 trick birthday candles
8 waterproofed strike-anywhere matches
pencil
25’ Spiderwire 24#
10 split-shot
5 #6 hooks
2 immodium
4 benedryl
2 Percocet (Rx leftovers)
3 Percogesic
4 bandaids
7 butterfly bandaids
1 packet double antibiotic

Micro II
1 gallon HD plastic bag
E-Z Lap sharpener

In my pouches I keep a fire steel, a Vitorinox Rucksack, and a flat or triangle ceramic sharpener, and a narrow tube of vasaline coated cotton balls. Sometimes I'll swap out the Rucksack for a Victorinox Recruit and this allows a lot more room for other items.
