This is from the website:
"The Snakeskin micarta handles were discovered accidentally and cannot be duplicated. Not only have we tried to duplicate this unusual layered look with several different manufacturers who claimed that duplication would not be a problem, but several other knife manufacturers have tried quite unsuccessfully to duplicate it as well. Once our supply is used up, the Busse Combat original Snake Skin micarta will not be an available again."
I'm curious if this remains true. I'm really only asking because Jerry is still cranking out a lot of snakeskin handles. Has it been duplicated yet? If not, Jerry must have ordered a whole BOATLOAD to keep making knives with it for this long!
If anyone knows any, please let us know. Thanks!

there are a bunch of companies out there selling 1911 grips in micarta, and i have never seen any that offer anything close to snakeskin. or tigerhide for that matter.

I wonder if tigerhide happened while trying to recreate snakeskin?

I seem to recall reading something to that effect. Tigerhide looks especially cool on the SFNO Magnum scales! I've got the 1911 grips and they look a bit bland compared to much of the other snakeskin slabs like on the MOASH or the Custom Shop AD's and other such knives.

Yes, very good looking SS on that knife.

I hope to see some more thin AD's...the current one's are so thick I don't know whether to use them as doorstops or to cut something :p....I really like the OJ warden for example :D.

What curious me the most though is.....why SS never gets FAT (magnum)

Maybe they don't have thick enough slabs of it? It's been around since before magnum handles.....I dunno for sure though...only the bossman can answer that.

Im waiting to see some snake skin on some EDC handles.

can do.

i think most mrsle's were tigerhide, mine is snakeskin.

When I asked about getting snakeskin handles for my AK47, Garth said they didn't have any pieces big enough left. It seems like they must be getting near the end.

Yeah. That's a crappy answer, tho.

I sure would like a Snakeskin ASH1. Just to have one more. Now I covet my current Snake collection even more.
