Sh-e sold for over four hundred not long ago. That's nothing to what the satin SFNO went for. I think we all remember that one. I better start recycling beer cans to afford one of these.

Mr Dave Brown just offed one for $360:thumbup:

you sure it wasn't $560 or $260.

I heard that one was stolen, then lost. But someone found it and sold it or somethng like that.

There was a new one here a couple months back for $325. There was also a new one on Ebay with a $350 "buy now" option.

Geez skunk, I thought you were going to raffle it off !!! :grumpy:

Skunk,

You could send it to me and I could give you a fair market value appraisal.

What Is The Logic Behing Removing The Price Once An Item Is Sold!!!!

Someone Please Enlighten Me????????

there is no logic behind it, that is why people do it. :jerkit: :jerkit: :jerkit:

Its a plot perpetrated by the man to keep us down. ;) Agree it frustrates me also, especially when I start looking for a particular knife and want to know what the "fair" market value might be so I can have an expectation of what I might pay.

My basic rule for Computing Busse values.

The original price, $297.00 in this case, plus $50.00 to $100.00, for the first two years out of production.

After that the pricing varies according to how many are for sale at the time and where it fits into collections.

So, the knife in question should then sell for $347.00 to $397.00 at this time.

Remember, you asked.

The price of this knife will go up as time goes by, Steel Hearts are the most commonly collected Busse to date, lots of interesting Steel Hearts, and made for longer than most Busse knives.

You might even say that you would want to buy this knife at $275.00 to $350.00 and re-sale it at $375.00 to $425.00.

New condition Steel Hearts get tougher and tougher to find because people buy the new one to save the old,,,,so each new one that comes out is more likely to get used.

This is part of what is indicated in my notes and tapes over the last six years I have been keeping track of Busse knife sales and prices.

Just how do "You" Spell OCD ?

Oh, wait, didn't I just see one for $255? or was it $355, maybe $185. Oh man I don't remember anymore. The guy deleted the final drop in price.

death to all price deleters, may a thousand camels spit on their knife.
