I was just curious if anyone knows if busse will swap out slabs even though the custom shop is closed?

I don't think so, but you can call to find out for sure.

No I'm afraid not -- I've asked :-/ --- but when the custom shop opens again -- then send it in!!

Nope, that's "custom" work, and they're not accepting any. Same for liners too, which stinks as there have been a couple OTW offerings I really would have liked to have ordered with liners. :grumpy:

Off topic.....I wonder how Busse will handle warranties if a knife from these operation 2 weeks breaks. Sure Store credit is great but as far as replacing with the same model? i doubt it.

Yes, likely store credit for the purchase price. Just like an old model that they no longer have replacement blanks for. It does give one pause in beating as hard on some of the older ones.

It was my understanding that they kept blanks on hand for a lot of knives in case of warranty issues. That pile might be getting a bit big with all these new knives if they are still doing it.

That was my understanding as well. But not all models. There was a recent thread at the Swamp where they didn't have a replacement blank for a Rat Daddy where a semi-circular piece of the edge snapped off about the width of a quarter.
