Hey fellas,

Anyone from Canada buy directly from the site? Wondering how bad you got nailed with duty fees. I was thinking on buying a BJ LE directly from the site. Or if anyone could let me know which shipping method they usually use. Cheers

We ship to Canada using USPS EXPRESS. We charge $39.95 shipping, plus $4.00 for each additional knife. I hope that helps, as far as Duty Fees I am unsure.

Thanks for the fast response. There are ways to avoid duty with usps. Labeling is key. I'm glad to see you use usps.

Intentionally mislabelling to avoid/reduce duty fees is most likely illegal, an could result in some not so pleasant results.

Please do no suggest or support illegal activities.

No cool.

Never had to pay customs for any of the Busse knives bought either from the Company store or the busse combat website. Always with the full value declared.

I was never so lucky, I always got dinged for duty fees. I believe it was around $25-30 bucks.

Oh, it's illegal alright...and not worth the trouble. Below is why we don't suggest mislabeling goods for export from the U. S.

US Code, Title 13, section 305
(a) Criminal Penalties. -
(1) Failure to file; submission of false or misleading
information. - Any person who knowingly fails to file or
knowingly submits false or misleading export information through
the Shippers Export Declaration (SED) (or any successor document)
or the Automated Export System (AES) shall be subject to a fine
not to exceed $10,000 per violation or imprisonment for not more
than 5 years, or both.
(2) Furtherance of illegal activities. - Any person who
knowingly reports any information on or uses the SED or the AES
to further any illegal activity shall be subject to a fine not to
exceed $10,000 per violation or imprisonment for not more than 5
years, or both.
(3) Forfeiture penalties. - Any person who is convicted under
this subsection shall, in addition to any other penalty, be
subject to forfeiting to the United States -
(A) any of that person's interest in, security of, claim
against, or property or contractual rights of any kind in the
goods or tangible items that were the subject of the violation;

Plan on paying 13% plus Canada Posts $8 handling fee. If it slips through with no fees, count yourself lucky.

I have been dinged by the 13% maybe 3% of the time. They rarely charge you the fee's when shipped through usps. I would worry more about them opening the package and their ill repacking job with the one piece of tape and a box devoid of packing peanuts/Newspaper cushioning... I have also had expensive knives tested by the fine folks at the postal service numerous times.

You have to pay HST, because taxes are unavoidable. Like death.

No import duties as the knife is made in the USA 100%.

According to NAFTA, goods made in the USA and Mexico do not have import duties applied. I hope that helps, eh.
