2 knives I have been looking at and want, but can't buy but 1.
I know busse has a bigger following, but I know fehrman is on par. Anyone have any good reasons for one over the other.

I've owned both brands.

In my experience 3V held an edge noticeably better than INFI. In fact, 3V held an edge almost as well as S30V.

Otherwise, 3V and INFI were very similar, very tough steel, and much more corrosion resistant than 1095, 5160, etc.

How does 3v sharpen compared to 1095 and s30v. I have these two steels and it is noticeably more difficult to sharpen s30v. Still I don't mind it holds a good edge.

I own multiples of both brands. I find the infi much more corrosion resistant. Both very similar in edge retention and ease of sharpening. Can't go wrong with either!!!

I personally dont care for the TGLB but that is not to say that I dont like Busses. Between these two I would go with the First Strike but both knives will last forever and do anything you need them too. There are some differences in the steels used INFI will be more corrosion resistant but 3V will hold its edge longer (a good bit longer from my experiences). However my experiences with 3V are not at 57-58 HRC like Eric runs his knives at it is at 59-60 HRC which is why it holds its edge a good bit longer than INFI.

Personally I really wish Mr. Busse would go back to running INFI near 60 HRC all the time like he used to. Me personally I would rather have better edge retention than a knife that can chop concrete.

Would be a bit more fair to compare First Strike with FSH, they are more of same function and design.
TGLB is more of a combat/utility where the other two are more of a camp knife.
The steels do behave a bit different edge holding properties so it will be the apples to oranges comparison.
