Our department has a technical rescue team, and a few of the guys on it saw my Basic 3 in my turnout gear. They had broken various other knives and I explained about INFI and Busse's guarantee. So rounded up a few more B3s off the net for them. Two of those guys are also assigned to FEMAs OH TF-1, one of the regional Urban Search and Rescue teams. Yesterday one of them was telling me that his B3 is the coolest, most awesome piece of gear. At a FEMA training he drove it into a concrete block, then used it to cut a steel door by pounding it into the door, then using some object to baton it down the door like a can opener. Anyway, he's sold, and the rest of his team was pretty impressed as well.

Only problem is, in trying to help them, I sold my B3. Have to find another or get a small Rat.

Next time make them take pictures. Movies would be even better. They should rock and silence all those sceptics ...

Oh sure, but you would need a super sized M.O.A.B. to protect yourself from "fanned" $hit ... otherwise I did not understand correctly, huh?

:D

I knew you guys would like this story. I'll have to see if I can get some cool pics sometime. I used my B3 (when I had it) to pry open a wooden door during training and other than some paint on it, you couldn't tell it had done anything. I will not name names, but I saw another "hard use" knife tried on the same door. It also pried it open, but the tanto tip broke off. Granted, none of this is what your knife is meant for, but in my line of work I really need an indestructible tool.
