Busse tube fastener material?

I was looking at some Busse's and I noticed that the handle tube fasteners are either brass or silver (maybe nickel), I just wanted to know if there's any benefit of using brass over silver or vice versa.

I also would like to know this answer. I'm not sure if it's exactly silver they use. I think I heard of nickel being used before. I'd like to know which is stronger.

I believe they are Stainless Tubes today.

Brass and stainless is all I have ever seen well mosaic pins on custom shop stuff.
the stainless ones are pretty freaking tough.
I have drilled out both and the stainless are a nightmare.

I think Swamprat uses brass and stainless on Busse's. I wonder which fasteners is stronger.

All Bussekin used to use Brass tube fasteners, and then they all switched to Stainless Steel. Has nothing to do with the different brands.

As stated above they are stainless. Jerry told me that about 8-10 years ago. I used to polish up my brass ones with flitz and a q-tip.
