Busse Warranty? (Jerry, please read)

If a Busse knife is broken and is covered under warranty, if the knife is no longer made, the owner who claimed the warranty gets shop credit for the original price of the knife, correct? What if the original broken knife is still being made, but there is a ower priced knife that you prefer that Busse is also making, can you have a choice to get the cheaper knife? If so, what happens to the left over credit? What if the knife you want costs a little bit more than what the original owners shop credit is, can you combine cash as well as shop credit to buy the slightly more expensive knife? What if Busse isnt currently making a knife that falls into the original shop credit? Like, you buy a 300 dollar knife, Busse accepts it on a warranty claim, and you get shop credit, but there isnt anything being made for 300 dollars?

I know this is very technical, but I just need to know. Jerry, this may require your expertise.

My (unsolicited) advice is that this level of query is best handled by direct contact with the Shop. Jerry has stated on the forums that for discontinued knives you would get shop credit equal to the original retail price of the knife.

What if you want to return your broken knife, but you'd prefer to wait for the folder? Can you get shop credit plus or minus the value of the knife's projected selling price, minus capital gain or loss plus depreciation?

I know...

Well, what if you happened to buy a knife from another member that just happened to be in about 3 pieces or so? (oh, I don't know........lets just say it was shot with a .50 cal with armor piercing ammo!!!!).

Then lets say you had no morals what so ever.............................

Hey, Jerry, what was that shop number again! I'll talk to you tomorrow!:D:thumbup::)

So shop answerable questions have come up frequently lately. I understand that it is easy to post on the forum and you get a pile of varied answers. However the Busse phone has always been answered within about 2 rings in the last year of my calling for various issues. That is a rarity these days and it is something that I find very satisfying in a business world that is primarily handled by automated machines. I would say and someone can call BS if they like but call the shop with questions. You cannot find better people to help than Amy and Lexi. I have not had the pleasure of the janitor answering so I cannot speak to that. ;)
