Hey Hogs,
I was wondering if anyone could clarify for me, do the Busse/kin warranty follow the knife regardless of who owns it? Or does it just cover the original owner? Thanks!

Absolutely transferable ----- feel free and confident to . . . JUST BEAT IT!!!!!! BEAT IT!!!!

100% transferable. We will warrant any blade that we made forever unless it has been modified by a third party and the modification is what causes a problem. We got your back.

Shoot, Garth beat me to the punch.

I was going to say it was only transferable to me!

Garth -- would my Sharpening/Reprofiling count as a Mod?

The second part of Garth's reply answers your question, and is the part that really impresses me most. They stand by their stuff!

I haven't seen your sharpening, Rob, but it would have to be pretty bad to directly cause the failure of a Busse. :D

^^^You haven't seen his sharpening ALL OVER this forum?!?! Well, you should! It is absolutely incredible. Professional and gorgeous! My eyes burn when I look at his knife photos because the edges are so razor-like.

If you buy a busse with a bent blade, will the shop repair it, or refund money?

Because of the bent blade I can get a good deal, but I don't want to be stuck with a bent blade.

it would be useful for batoning around corners

I watched a Utube video the other day, a guy was reviewing TGLB and said if you strip it it kinda voids the warranty....Wata....?

Crazy. Not true.

I guess that would ultimately depend on how it was stripped. If you take a torch and burn the coating off, as well as destroy the temper in the steel then yes, that could void the warranty. Warranty is only void if the aftermarket modifications done to the blade cause a problem. We stand behind our product 100%.
