I get the beer chill'n part, but show me how the wort chill'n works.

Methinks I smell a rat, or a skunk as it were...... you used a Busse FOLDER to cut that... what'd you do sell Jerry your soul AND your first born child? :)

i still have my soul, the deal was that you aren't allowed to sell that blade.

yes, i gave all three of my kids to jerry. he's supposed to send me child support every month because even though he now owns them i still have to feed the lil bastids :grumpy:

Dang, Skunk, Nice house you got there!

Very cool!

Like the chiller, too...

You know, you could make it a re-circulating model with the right chiller... Water is probably dirt cheap in your area, though, eh?

:D :D

randucci, When making home-brewed beer you boil the mix (wart) and when done you need to chill it down quickly. That copper tubing is a heat exchanger or in this case, rapid chiller. You drop it in the boiled wart (thereby instantly starilized) and cold water runs through it and carries the heat away. The one I use can take five gallons of boiling wart down to about 40 degrees in less than 12 minuites.

Great chiller there, how many gallon batches do you make at once?

i make 5 gals each batch, made 5 of irish stout tonight. gives me something to do in the winter when it stinks outside. this chiller has 55 feet of 3/8ths copper, it's pretty damned fast in cooling. my well water is about 52 degrees and come from 110 feet under.
i have to make my own to afford my infi habit :D

I used my Rat Trap to open all the bags to make a Pale Ale on Saturday. I've still got some Creme Stout from '04 and my Red Ale is representing the brew club (Palmetto State Brewers) in a regional competition this month. Brew on! Nuke on, too. I've still got time to brew something for Blade East but I don't know if any Hogs there are beer drinkers...

That's the nicest Meth Lab I have ever seen!! Just kidding, a beautiful setup. Like your choise of fire-sticks as well. I never swung for a .50 myself... have to travel too far to use it as well as the cost. Very cool though! Now, as to that folder... give us sumthin!! What kind of lock-up? A Chris Reeve type frame-lock? Dead-bolt? Hydro-electric? Man, but I'm chomping at the bit for a folder. Never leave home without one. I'm thinking a Busse folder is going to be a heavy-weight as in belt-sheath carry only. I'll adjust/adapt/overcome from my standard pocket-clip carry.

i figured that was the idea behind the .50, you didn't have to travel far to your target ;)

the busse folder is a very good choice! i have heard rumors from the test team that the folder is very tough, bravado has used his for a year now and as far as i know it still functions as new.
i believe his picture with the knife is at badmojo.com

bjb from the test team has really beat his folder hard, still in good shape

Only Scott would employ so much equipment and beer to take care of a "wort".

Most folks just buy some Compound W or go to a doctor to have the thing frozen off. :p :p

Nick

btw- You need to bring some of that homebrew to Blade!
