EDIT: Since people are really taking their sweet time with the CS WTF videos, as of 7:23 pm EST on 8/29/16 there are BG WTF options for winning the challenge! Details below.
The Busse Custom Shop WTF dings are ringing through many of our credit cards at this moment, and there is plenty of excitement about who will receive theirs first. To me the better question is: Who will use theirs first?
In the spirit of the question, I have decided to create a little challenge where I will have two giveaways. The prize for each challenge will be a t-shirt or a baseball cap from the Busse website (winner's choice).
Challenge #1: Film yourself (or have somebody else film you, which is not really an option for me since my wife thinks I'm nuts as it is and won't come near me when swinging a knife, and my 2 year old sucks as a camera man, but I digress) chopping through a 2x12 board. It must be a video, not a series of pics, and it must show the chopping from start to finish. The video must be posted in this thread. BG WTF challenge option: same as CS WTF. David Brown is the winner!
Challenge #2: Same rules as challenge #1, but chopping through a 9" or larger diameter log instead of a 2x12. BG WTF challenge option: 11" diameter log instead of a 9" log. The video must be posted in this thread.
The first person to complete each or the above challenges will get to pick a t-shirt OR baseball hat from the Busse website on my dime. The same person cannot win both challenges, and likewise the same WTF cannot win both challenges. In other words, you cannot use your WTF to complete challenge #1 and then give it to a friend and have them complete challenge #2. The winner must have been a BF member for at least 6 months, and have at least 25 posts to be considered.
Challenge #3 Courtesy of rcb2000 - Guess the weight of the WTF LE, and rcb2000 will buy the below mug from the company store for the person with the closest guess. Obviously there will be different weights based on handle materials, so it will be the weight of Zmbhntrs with Bruiser G10, grams or lbs/oz. One guess per person, and the cut off will be the day after the first shipping notice hits the forum. Good luck Hogs and Piggies!! WTF actual weight 2 lbs 11.2 oz - Winner Robdude
Disclaimer: Be safe out there! The WTF is a large blade and care should be used when wielding the beast that it is. I am not liable if you hurt yourself or others trying to film yourself as part of this challenge. This challenge is for the Busse Custom WTF with a satin finish; the Battle Grade version is an epic knife as well, but it is excluded from this challenge. I reserve the right to modify the rules as I see fit. I have talked to the forum mods, and this GAW is approved. This challenge is meant to be good natured and fun, so please have fun with it!
