Looks like an apprentice blade to me. I believe most, if not all, apprentice blades were 5160 steel. If it were listed $150 or less I'd jump on it. Looks like it would make a cool little EDC.

It looks like a Busse to me.

I started buying Busses in 1994 and somewhere in the cobwebbed recesses of my mind I want to remember an ad with a picture of this. The solid fasteners are true to the '94 time period.

What's the blade thickness? I don't remember any Busses thinner than 3/16" from that era.

Don't quite know the thickness. I will try to find out later and post. What do you think it's worth? 150ish? Thank you to all

Another thing that make me think it is real and from the mid-to-late '90's is that the step down point where the blade grind starts is curved. The original Steel Hearts and Badger Attacks are curved here also, indicating being ground on a wheel instead of a belt. Of course this is not as pronounced as on the larger blades.

If when handheld it exhibits Busse quality, I would throw $150 at the seller, but when examining it keep in mind that early Busse Combat knives where not all cookie cutter uniform and "perfect." They were built for hard use, not for "pretty." That came later.

Some other old timers speak up here. don't let me give bad advice on this.

You can also Email Jerry the pictures. I had an old Busse I had no idea about and he was super helpful and responsive when I sent him the pictures. He was so helpful he gained a customer for life.

Hey bro, send me the guys info and I will talk to him to get the truth about that blade.:)

I would defer to the Old School HOGs on this, but it looks like an Apprentice blade to me. If so, probably 5160 > INFI.

Here's an apprentice that I used to have. Neat knife. 5160 steel.

I went and picked it up today. It's a beefy little sucker. Easily 3/16 thick. Don't know if I'm gonna keep it yet. Here is a pic with my ba3 for size .

Awesome score!  Almost looks like it could be the same exact blade as 360 posted.

That is what I thought. Right down to the sheath.

Looks like the same knife to me - when you look at the two photos side by side, you can see the exact same dark streak and two lighter streaks along the scale, along with the exact same dark markings near the butt pin.

best
