Busse

Besides shows, the only sources are Busse Combat Knife Company and The Busse Company Store.

Both offer batch production knives. They do not stock an entire inventory of Busse models.

Currently, Busse is offering the ABS (Anorexic Boss Street) series, and the company store has no knives in inventory.

If you want a Busse other than the current offering, your best bet is to try the Exchange here at BFC.

The knives are nice. IMO, the current CABS offering is one of the best knives Busse has made to date. It features a choil-less blade, something that is atypical for Busse, and it has great dimensions and ergonomics. It's also a thin ("anorexic" in Busse speak) blade, which is not always the case with the Busse line-up. If you're looking for a utilitarian EDC and/or bushcraft style blade, it's a winner. Here's mine...

Quick note: Busse Combat Knife Company will take your order, and you will wait until the knife is made. If you call, the nice folks there can give you a better idea of lead time. Your card won't be charged until the knife is ready to ship.

Note that there are three options on the choil in this series: none (CABS), small (SCABS), and large (LCABS).

What are they doing - as usual?

Company store has: SAR-3 SE DOUBLE CUT with BLACK CANVAS MICARTA on their page.

Combat Knife Company has the: C.A.B.S., S.C.A.B.S., L.C.A.B.S?

What's the purpose of the non-choil to medium to large offerings?

Is the choil for control, blades strength?

I still like my normal street boss.. got it cheaper and I love the thickness of the blade.. but those newer ones will definitely slice better. But I have a back up folder for slicing... :D

Its a pity that online retailers don't stock BUSSE knives. I would love to go to knifeworks or knivesshipfree and browse through all the BUSSE models.

The choil is for control, if you want to or need to choke up on the knife you can. The small choil is for looks and it typical on the SAR series and their smaller knives.

So the large choil is for control.

And no choil gives you a larger cutting edge.

Jerry tires to meet the demands of customers, some like choils, some don't. It's a matter of trying to give you the perfect knife for YOU.

I love Busse, INFI is tough stuff. And they feel great in hand, and most are a lot lighter than they look.

Another reason for the choil is that you are able to sharpen the entire blade more easily than a choiless model. That's the reason I ordered the SCABS with the small choil.
