Hello Fellow Piglets and Hogs,

I was just notified by my Web Hosting Company (Hostfor2Bucks) that the BusseCollector Site is officially corrupted. According to them the site outgrew their supported (free) SiteBuilder software limitations with the recent addition of the BladeWestaGanzaa photos, and now the corruption is irreparable. The only choice I have right now is to PURCHASE a web page creation tool ($$$) and to spend the next couple of weeks rebuilding the site from scratch, then ask them to remove the current site and publish the new one.

Since the site will remain "as-is" until the site is republished (I have no immediate plans to do so) I strongly encourage everyone to copy all content (save the web page locally or cut-paste the pertinent data into a spreadsheet) so they can use it as a local reference.

Its a good thing Bad-Mojo is still around for us to reference :)

Thank you,

Greg
BusseCollector.

Here is the email I received from them in responce to my support ticket, I open when I was no longer able to open the SiteBuilder client.

Dear Customer,

Your site builder is corrupted and you will no longer be able to access it. The number of your pages and images redeemed your site builder unusable. Your existing content will remain unchanged and accessible until modified and or deleted.

What should you do first?
Insure to access your site using FTP as shown in your account information email (using an FTP client or a web browser that supports FTP). Make a copy of all your files/content from your exiting site and save to your local computer.

What are your options?
1- Start using a web page creation tool locally then upload to your site using FTP (always keep the original site files stored on your local computer as a backup and as your working copy).

2- You can request that your site builder option is removed then re-added (this will ****NOT**** allow you to edit your existing site which will be lost once your update it) but only will allow you to create a new site (your images may remain on your server and be accessible from the new site builder). This option is not recommended if you intend to create a large site with a large amount of pages and images. The site builder is a simple tool intended for the creation of simple small sites.

Thank You,

That is indeed a bummer. Let us know if there's anything we can do to help.

Ken was generous enough to help me acquire some cutting edge software, now I have to just figure out how to use it and then start the rebuild. Since I'm doing this in my off hours, its going to take a while. I'll keep everyone posted. There is a good chance the new website won't look anything like the current one, but I'll do what I can to keep it interesting for everyone.

Stay tuned to this thread for updates as I have them.

Thanks!
Greg

that stinks, is there anything we can do to help?
