In order to become a real hog, you have to hone the art of justifying/funding purchases to a fine edge. For example:
I've been wavering between ordering a couple of NMSFNO's and finally acquiring that .44 Mag revolver I've been wanting. On Monday, decided to go into my favorite gun shop and do the deed. Was 99% sure I wanted to buy the 6.5" S&W Model 29 Classic, but that 4" Mountain Gun was very appealing, also. I mentally decided to go with the 6.5", and was opening my mouth to say, "I'll take it", when the counter guy, thinking I was wavering between the two, said, "maybe what you really need is a 5". Being more of a semi-auto fan, I didn't even know they made a 5", but the store didn't have one. The guy had unknowingly talked himself out of a sale, because the 5" instantly became my grail .44 mag.
Cut to Wednesday. Walked into another local gun shop, found myself looking directly at a slightly used 5" Model 29Classic! And I saved about $170 over what I was going to spend on Monday.
So what has this got to do with Busse knives? I saved $170! Applying a little Bussenomics, I can now afford to order a CG and an LE NMSFNO.
The key to Bussenomics is not to get too hung up on the numbers. It's the justifying that counts.
