Hi,

Would love to get my hands on a Busse and wondering what I need to do to get one to Aus?

Are there any 'dealers' in Aus, or do I need to purchase from the Busse Combat website?

And if anyone has bought one here in Aus, do customs give you any trouble?
Thanks heaps in advance,

Danito.

Danito,
Welcome to the Busse forum. We have several Busse Forumites that live in Australia and I've never heard of any of them having trouble getting Busses in. Gundy, Ian and BigOcean (that posted above) to name a few.

Stick around and I'm sure they'll be stopping in sometime soon

:D:D

brought in ; HHFSH , CGFBM , 2 gamewardens , crashrat , scrapyard yard hook , swamprat mischief 6 , and a howling rat , all no problems.

Just to add to the list, I recently got an Active Duty that arrived with no problems.

There is also an Oz forum where you can meet owners. PM me if you want details.

I recently shipped an Active Duty to Oz... Err, Australia! No problems on either end. :D:thumbup:

Thanks for the help all.

So aside from the Model on the Busse website at the moment, if I am after anything else I need to look for it second hand?

Yes. The upside of this is that "second hand" doesn't necessarily mean "used". I got my AD from Jaxx up above there and maybe he'd been using it to covertly deanimate ninjas or something but, if so, it left no sign on the knife, arrived in pristine condition.

Plenty of people buy them, stick them in the cupboard and later, for whatever reason decide to sell them.

Look in the for sale section of this forum, they come up from time to time. Maybe the model you want might not show up for a while but it probably will eventually.

I have 9 Busse blades as of this moment. I have never had any problems, just stick to single edge stuff and its all good. I believe there are are a couple for sale on the Aussie site now.

Yes, you are the lunatic who depleted my bank account. Should be ashamed of yourself.

;)

No Jaxx really meant Oz. Sometimes he hallucinates and mails knives to places like Oz, Atlantis, the Bermuda Triangle, etc. He'll get his meds adjusted eventually.

That's OK, I'm planning on moving to Atlantis soon, maybe some nice knives will come my way!

Most, if not all of us who list items for sale will state the condition of the knife/knives we are selling on the Exchange, and most of us will include a photo to show you exactly what you would be getting. I know that I personally want each Buyer to be sure that they will be happy with what they paid for, and most here feel the same way. I'd hate to ship a knife anywhere, let alone halfway around the world just to find out the Buyer wasn't happy with the purchase, so I will photo the exact knife for sale, and provide as much information about any knife not new or unused, or that has a known 'flaw'. Again, most members here feel the same way, and also show the knife/knives they wish to sell. Be sure to ask any & all questions up front; most here are more than happy to answer any that you might have. I would also suggest that you check the iTrader stats, and search 'The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly' sub-forum here for any info on the Seller that you wish to buy from.

That AD was new, and never used. I have another for covertly deanimating ninjas, LOL :D:thumbup: How's it workin' out for you? :)

:grumpy: Meds, I don't need no stinkin' meds... I prefer insanity!! ;) :D

Working out just fine. It's a great knife, certainly impressed the hell out of a few of the people I've shown it to. I can't really imagine any use I might put it to that would exceed it's capabilities.

I've got 4 blades ranging from FBM down to batac and all came into Sydney without any hassles. I know guys who have purchased AK47's and received them without problems. Just need to watch the value of the knives you buy. At $1000 I think they attract import duties. One of the other boys may be able to confirm that.

As has already been stated, stick to single edge and what ever is legal in your state.

As for buying, I have had nothing but good experiences in buying from people on this forum, and this is one of the best places to find a good Busse (even if it is pre loved)

Go for it mate. But watch out because once you sniff that INFI there ain't NO GOING BACK!!!!!!

You've been warned :D
