I have a chance to buy a Buster Warenski double edge dagger from a friend. It's about 7 inches in length with a 3.25 blade with a leather signed sheath. I'm on the fence since it double edged. Do you think the double edge hurts its value.

Thanks TJ

No...being double edged won't hurt it's value.....might even enhance value since he was known
for his exquisite daggers...
Whether it's a wise purchase would, however, depend on other factors...materials, price, complexity...and
how valuable it might be to others.....

Depends on price but I would not think that it being double edged would "hurt" the value at all. Like I said we have no idea what the knife looks like or how much your friend is asking, but anything with Buster's name on it would be welcome in most collections.

Warenski knives are the real deal.

Wouldn't be the worst purchase you could make. :D

As its most likely an art object, I dont see why it being a dagger should hurt its value.

Its by a desirable knifemaker.

What makes you come up with the notion, that it being a dagger could potentially hurt the value?

All thanks for the reply.

My reason for the post is because it not one of his "art knives". It more a small belt carry knife with a dagger style blade. I'm on the fence about the purchase because it would be illegal to carry where I live and I like to use carry what I buy and my buddy wants $1,200 for the knife.

Thanks TJ
