BuSTR's

Oh I figure so but not the same way as last runs probably. I'm slowly making headway with approx. 70 various blades I'm working on for four models I plan to have in the future. No telling when. Its going slow. Right now I'm cleaning them up mostly and preparing them for grinding after I get all the pivot holes, thumb stud holes and recesses for the thumb stud screw all done. Then heat treat and then clean up again to make work in folders. Two are smaller folders, one being a slip joint the other being a small liner or frame lock I made some years ago and plan to bring back. Those will both be ATS34. The BUSSTRs and the He-Man RIL folders (formerly the Ouparator with some modifications) will be available once done in some S30V, some ATS34, Some in D2 and some in 12C27 and 15N20 carbon steel in the two lower priced models. I have all the 12C27 blades ready to go now as those were all done first.

Anyway, the hope is that these blades and bodies and all the parts I've had been getting done will eventually give me some stuff to start posting but I'm not in a hurry. Just kind of doing it as I want you know. Now that I don't have a lot of big jobs in the way of the frame lock conversions here to slow me down from my folders I can focus as I please and not have to do stuff but do what I want if that makes sense. I'm still doing the smaller jobs like the pocket clips and ti pry bars, and Wave mods, some anodizing and other such things but just keeping it real and low key for now.

Thanks for asking

Steve--- Glad yer busy! I'll keep an eye out.
You know, the BuSTR IS one of the best designed folders ever, imo. ;)

Steve, what kinda blade shapes are you going to offer on those S30V HeMan folders, and I can pay in silver.

Will any of the S30V models have a blade style similar to the Buck Mayo TNT, if so put me down I want one. If possible could have everything on the knife except the blade made of Ti, pins, screws, etc. Also since I'm dreaming and it never hurts to ask how about the screws being slotted so I can tighten in the filed with literally anything instead of a torx head? Just asking.

I just have three shapes for it. All I have currently are 12C27. No S30V for a while. I've put them on the back burner Mike.

I'd accept silver on it yes.

On the time frame for one of these though? Not sure. Got no juice left in the tank for the bigger jobs these last few months. Just haven't found the right chi I guess.

Anyway, I have 2-56 ti Phillips head screws. Thats all I have currently. I'll have to look up where I got them and find out if I can even get the other screws in ti but even if I can get the other size screws in it the barrel for the pivot would still be stainless. Stop pin also. I don't know where I'd find pre-threaded barrels of titanium. If they are anything like the ti screws I did find in the number two sizes they will be super expensive. I got a deal on these 2-56 screws at $4.56 each! Most places want in excess of 9 bucks per screw for the small number two size. I had to buy quite a few to get that price even from this place I found them. I figure bigger screws will be more $ but I'd have to price em.

Here are the three blade shapes I have currently and the S30V would be the same shapes for all three when I have them. I made a He-Man folder a while back using that clip point hunter blade but damn if I didn't forget to take any pictures of it before shipping it out of here!

I'd like mine in the 3rd blade shape on the bottom Steve :)

How much would one run in S30v?

PS: If I upgrade all my screws, how much extra would that push up the He-Man? I'll apply the same "push-up" for the 12C27's price u told me last time.
PSPS: I just like hardware a bit on the large direction. Especially the pivot area (which pry/lateral strength is based on pivot). I don't mind even if the screws are not sunk in (handle back area), I'm not particular, I like big :)
PSx3: Also fine if it's too much trouble. I'll go for the plain vanilla if my "extra's" bother's you :)

S30V are 25 bucks more. I don't have any of those and won't have for sometime though so this will not be something done anytime soon guys. I stock one size for my stuff my friend. Its never varied. 3/16" for the pivots and sometimes I used 1/8" but I always used 1/8" at the stop and 2-56 for the body screws. Believe it or not those parts and hardware are still stronger than the lock on all my models. Anything bigger is just needless overkill.

No problem, I'm just a sucker for that stuff :)

I'd like one He-Man in wharncliff with a Low-Rider clip tip down on lock side. Just let me know when how much (without the scales to save some cost) and I'll paypal to you. I can wait :)
