Just some of the kydex stuff I made this weekend. First of all new beefed-up version of mounting plate on my AURIGA sheaths. It's third generation... and probably best way I can get it done (well, I said the same last time). Anyway I hope the owners will enjoy new cloths for their Reeves...

And of course I didn't forget about regular, flat, slim-line kydex sheaths... hope these will provide years of good service :)

Piter,

Very nice. I love that mounting system. What thickness is the Kydex you are using?

Great looking system. I've been experimenting making sheaths out of Micarta lately. Talk about tough. I've made some sheaths that are tougher than the knives in them. My next project is a Micarta sheath for my new Chris Reeve Skinner. I'll keep you posted.

Piter,
Are you just making sheaths for your own knives or are you shipping some stufff accross the pond to the U.S.A. ?

How do you price out your sheaths for exporting?

I absolutely LOVE your sheaths Piter!! When I get a CRK fixed blade, one of your sheaths is a MUST for me!!

I've been traveling for last couple of days so I was not able to answer. Anyway, now I'm back and I'd like to thank you for your positive comments :)

Ken, I make them out of 2.5mm kydex, which is optimum for knives of that size (up to 10" blade).

Also if you like them, just let me know and we can discuss. I check my email quite often, at least twice a day (weekends), but usually almost every hour (0600 to 2200 GMT).

Also as a true fan of CRK knives and especially one-piece range and authorised CRK dealer for Poland I have the knives or can have from CRK, so no need to send anything across the ocean. Otherwise that wouldn't make too much sense, right?

And once again, thanks! I really enjoy making some fine sheaths for Chris' knives :D

Those are some sweet looking sheaths.

First time I've seen anything like them.

Hi PiterM,you do make very nice loking sheaths for the CRK fixed blades.I like to have one for the Mbejane/skinner.Hope you do take orders.Do you use anything on the inside of the sheath to make the sheathing process quiter?.

Ubejane... let me check raj... hmm, do you mean something like that below? :D And no, I don't use any lining as it collects dirt easier & makes cleaning quite a challenge. Also dries slower, and especially in case of A2 blades it's the last thing you need...

Silas, this sheath (called "Auriga Modular System") is what I developed in my workshop summer last year. If anyone is interested in one... please, send me an email. Be sure I'll respond. BTW, just couple more...
