I don't know if this has been done before but I though of it last night and thought I'd post pix regardless if it has already been done. What do you think? I like it so far. I don't think I'm going to burnish the leather; I'm pretty sure it will do it on its own as time goes by. I also have the BK14 in there to help keep this thread legal. :D

I got the idea from the old school (and new I suppose) kabar knives. I thought it would be cool to have a leather slab handle, and I decided to give it a shot.

I think I will sand them down a bit more, but I'm going to see how it works out how they are now.

Cool idea MW. I think it will look better with time.

I'll be damned. Stacked leather. That's thinking out of the box.

Thanks guys!!!

Cool, I like it. Did you just stuff them in there?

What I did was cut slots into the leather and yeah pretty much stuffed it in there.

i like it. in the halfassed/knowing it will actually get better looking kind of way.

Thanks?

In that first pic, I though he had used bacon.

That does look pretty cool. Take that to a belt sander and seal it all up. That'd be a sweet looking handle ;)

Good thinking. They look fuzzy though :D

If you could get them to look like Kabars and Fallknivens NL series leather-handles, then you'd be king!

Thanks guys. I am still working on them. I will post up some more pix when I get it looking nicer. I was just excited about the idea and wanted to at least share the idea with you all.
