Buta is Japanese for pig. The Buta II is a hand-forged skinner cord-wrapped in the Japanese style. This Buta II comes with a black Kydex sheath and weighs 8.1 ounces - sheath included.

Steel: Hand-forged 1084
Handle: Gutted plasticized parachute cord

That's a really nice blade shape, and a great EDC.

Checked out your website. Looks like ya'll had a good session at Haywood. I can see the Knight and Foster influence, and I can also see that your blacksmithing skills are advanced, and will serve you well in your knifemaking.

Glad I stopped by the custom makers forum. I agree. The Buta II looks like an ideal EDC. How thick is the blade?

It was forged out of 1/4" stock and is about 0.200 at its thickest point.
