So i got into the woods with this BEAST. Contrary to recommendations from the Boss, i did chop a bit. DISCLAIMER: DO NOT DO THIS!

The tree in front of the sword is first target.

this is about 20 50% strokes later.
I have to re size all of the pictures and will edit and add them tomorrow

So why the DISCLAIMER? Is this sword a show item only or is it made for use? Looks cool

The disclaimer is there because it is NOT made for chopping.

I hope you realize that telling us not to do something will only make us want to do it all the more regardless? :p

This sword, as most, is intended for soft targets; flesh with some bone thrown in. If your main intention is chopping wood there are many better choices. See the thread where I cut the 43" oak with my NMFSH.

While I understand your point/stance in saying such, I also still think you're missing my point. In fact, you're the perfect example of my point; you're willing to use a product people acknowledged is not exactly the correct tool to cutting a tree down for the stated reasons you mentioned. But did that stop you? Sure looked like it didn't stop you so why would it stop anyone else? ;)

If I did permanent damage to my sword, It would be my responsibility to repair/replace.
I am not known for my sensibility or good judgement. If someone is willing to imitate my actions after me recommending
They do not, well go for it but don't cry to Busse that your sword is twisted.

I agree and see your point. I just never liked it when people tell me (or us, general population) "Do not do this at home!" because things like Mythbuster would have never happened if they didn't do it at home (or at the very least, if no one did it at home, they would have little materials to use from submissions for their show). I also dont like it when they say such and then turn around and do exactly what they told us not to do (whether they're professionals or not is besides my point).

That being said, it looks like your sword didn't break, therefore it's just fine chopping the crap out of a tree any day of the week! :p:thumbup:

Because the blade is so long, that the Boss warned about chopping hard, stationary targets. He said the sword could take a permanent set.

I think you should stuff a scarecrow with raw meat and get to swinging. Don't for get to post the video!

I have a line on at least one of my friend's first deer this season, which should be a VERY good test subject!:)
Tarps will be laid, no yummy venison will be wasted. I might even go Lynn T style and hire a big dude in good shape to do the bulk of the work:)
I do like the meat scarecrow idea A LOT and will look into that.
PS I promise more pics and video are to come. The new 'puter is giving me fits.
