Butaniku / short butaniku performance

I am tempted by the ganza short butaniku - seems like it could have a better balance than the full-sized butaniku and therefore a faster swing.

But a convex grind that starts at 0.25" little more than a half inch above the edge sounds like a very thick grind, and I know from experience that the edges on Busse coated convex ground blades are sometimes left impractically thick. So i'm wondering whether this will actually be able to cut.

So does anyone have any more experience to share, or are there other reviews I've missed?
