We are putting in a big vegetable garden at my house this year so I needed a new chef knife for all the veggies.
Butch Harner made this knife for me. It just arrived today.
Not sure of the steel type so maybe Butch will chime in.
For the profile I told Butch I wanted a fine tip and for it to be tall for scooping cut veggies from the board.
The handle is Koa, Bog Oak and Copper.
This is my 3rd kitchen knife from Butch. If you have never used one of Butch's kitchen knives, you don't know what you are missing.
Sorry about the dusty photos.

steel is XHP and is at 61-62 Rc
seems that the hammered copper front is well liked with all buyers from pro chefs to home makers

Absolutely! The Crushed Hippie Slicer that I bought from Butch many years ago is still going strong. It's my favorite kitchen knife and slices like a dream. You can see it on the first page of his gallery.
