Butch VALLOTTON small Manual folder

Now that is beee-you-teee-full.

I could never carry it, though, as it is simply too classy and would fail to go with my ensemble.

Very nice folder! Congratulations.

Kind regards,

Jos

Beautiful.Butch does'nt make many manual opening folders.I have a manual engraved titanium folder with a miror polished blade.Sorry I do'nt know how to post pictures.I tried once & messed up.BTW are the scales jasper?

according to Butch, VERY few manual folders. The scales are Abalone shell

Well, the 2003 and 2004 OKCA club knives were manuals made by Butch, and there were 50 of each made:

The Folding Applegate-Fairbairn was a collaboration between Butch and Bill Harsey, I am pretty sure they made at least 10 of those.

Butch makes autos first and foremost, because 1) that is what people want, 2) he's really good at it, and many are not, and 3) he thinks that a manual knife misses the point.

I have two manual knives from Butch, a pearl handled, damascus bolstered hand rubbed ATS-34 model, and a damascus piece with stag scales....someday, I'll learn how to use a camera and post them here.

Nice piece, OE.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

I have actually held those club knives.

One interesting thing about some of his manuals, and this one too.... he builds the mechanics into the liner just in case someone wants to make it a DA later.
