Last night i was oiling my butcher board with the afore mentioned oil and thought to give a few of my knife handles a swipe, flamed chestnut, ziracote, and curly birch, it seemed to absorb well and added to the patina. Is this an alright oil for wood handles? From what i see, it works well. thanks, Kris.

Butcher block oil is usually heavy mineral oil by its lonesome or heavy mineral oil infused with beeswax or parrafin wax. Any type is fine for use on steel, wood, leather, and some other knife materials.
