Where's a good place to find a butcher's brush? I can't find one in any store I go to. The wire brushes just don't last too long when making damascus it seems.

J., I did a quick Google on "butcher brush" and came up with quite a selection.

Wow! Thanks guys, I was thinking thinking a local type store but, I guess that was silly. What could be local to a town called Wyalusing?
;)

J. Are you planning to put a longer or higher hand on that???? I use the SS with a scrapper on it from Home depot. They are around $3/4.

Don't know George, the ones from Home Depost, I just burn up.

AKA Knife Knut- the brushes are used to brush off scale while forging damascus, to keep from pounding scale into the surface or folds of a billet.

Hey Nuts, we use a butcher block brush to knock off the scale at heat.

Butcher brush has a wide flat bristle on it instead of the fine round bristles.

There is a guy in our club that sells em but he's in OK
