If this kind of question exists, please delete and point me to that link...

I know there are Tons of pages on Here about pens, flashlights, and the like....

1. I don't necessarily want a "tactical pen"
2. I work in a engineering environment, I don't want a lot of attention.
3. I don't need it to look cool or fidgit, or whatever.
4. Id like it full size.
5. Write nice, maybe a finer tip, not scratchy, or the opposite - Blotchy.

Most importantly I want it to be tough. I break A Lot of pens. Alot. Every year I get ink stains on me, my slacks, furniture, car seats, etc.

I want a pen I can keep in my back pocket and sit, climb, crawl without worry.

I think I want nothing, plastic. I assume.
I'd prefer to keep costs reasonable, but not cheap.

There is such a wealth of experience here, I can't be the only one who breaks pens?
Thanks.

Depends on what you mean by reasonable. My favorite pocket pen of all time is the Fisher Space Pen bullet. Like modern Buck knives, it is difficult to believe the value for money in the equation. They don’t break. They just work. Hardly ever need refills but they are easy to find when you do. And if you lose one, can buy another for $30.

If you are willing to spend $100 plus, I strongly recommend the Tactile Turn pens. Their stuff is great and built to last a lifetime.

Does Fisher make full size pens too?
I have the little ones somewhere.... I keep loosing it, find it, use it, loose it....repeat.

I need it bigger.

Check out the Embassy pens that CountyComm sells.

I kinda wish they were USA made, I assume they aren't since it was lower cost
I might try out their flight suit pen?
Do you have any?

The Standard Zebra pens seem to be ok. I have completely switched to Pilot P700 or P500. All plastic, but they hold up well if you don't use them as an ice pick.
Fisher used to make standard pens, like papermate, but a step up. who knows if they still do.

I think it's me sitting on them, whether in the car, at work or on the ground inspecting something.

The Zebra’s are pretty tough. I always carry them in right front picket against the seam with a folder just in front. I have bent many a clip, but never a pen.

I haven't really investigated How I'm leaking ink?
I'm wondering it it's the strain where the tip assembly strains/flexes into the barrel ...

Are Zebras tough There?

I guess they are cheap enough, cheaper than pants...

Came here to say exactly this. If you can break one of these, you’re a bull orangutan go-rilllla!

Ti one’s light but very tough. Copper one is heavy as shit. Both are pretty much indestructible, feel great in the hand, and carry nice in the pocket. You’ll know the copper one is there but I don’t even notice the Ti one.

I have a copper flashlight, I like it, but I'm leaning towards TI.... No pun intended.

Does the cap come off good, is it a pain for wanting to write? USA made takes the Cake

The caps come off and go on fine. They both write great. They’re really hassle free. Any drop will just add character because you damn sure aren’t gonna hurt em.

I have a stack of the County Comm Embassy pens along with a few bolt action ones they do. This is the one I carry with me.

The Ultem is surprisingly tough. It rides next to a flashlight. No scuff marks.
