Butterfly knife laws - Massachusetts

I looked through the carry laws, and I didn't seem to find anything, but I wanted to double check. I know it's illegal in Boston, since the blade is longer than 1.5", but other than that, is it fine if I just carry one around in my pocket or something (if not in boston)?

It is my understanding that butterfly/balisong type are illegal in MA, although you wouldn't know it from the flea markets. They are banned under an interpretation of the switchblade law.
