I am not very familiar with the laws in CA. I know the auto knives have to be under 2 inches. So there is no way for me to own a microtech auto unless I'm LEO or military? Is it legal for me to own a butterfly knive in my home in CA? What about owning brass knuckles in my home? Could someone please clarify? Thanks.

You can own an auto or balisong in your home, or transport it in the trunk of your car, regardless of length, just don't take it outside (per penal code 653K).

When you can legally carry a very capable 4" folder, why even waste your money on that other stuff that you can't even carry???? And anyway, if you need protection at home, you can legally have a gun....
