Sniff.. I do Nanquan, the southern Chinese style that butterfly swords come from and are used by... Alas, I cant afford..
 
I think HI should try make more chinese swords... Like hook swords.. you never see real hook swords these days... And an HI jian would be MAD..
 
I'm loving the steel guard:thumbup: I'm sure brass is easier to work with, but i would feel a lot more protected with steel. gorgeous blades:thumbup:
 
Oh my. I can't throw down for those two beauties, but I sure hope they get in the habit of making them. I'm going to start training in twin short swords in the martial art I do next year, and I can't imagine better blades to utilize than a pair of HI butterflys.
 
I could probably come up with the cash for one of those (by stopping buying meat and starting to snare the rabbits on campus) but there is no way I am breaking those beauties up.
