butterfly?

anyone ever made a butterfly knife if so i need some advice on how to make the handle i was thinking about using 3 metal sheets for each side of the handles and peen them together with the middle one thinner in width for the blade to rest in the closed possition since i dont have the tools to cast them what do you think about doing that i was also thinking about doing a knife like the cold steel the one that folds in the handle and when in the open possition it uses a full length folded metal piece to keep the blade locked in
