Buy a custom for Christmas

I'm proposing that BF members buy a custom blade from one of our Makers here on the forum. They are great blades and great deals, and will help encourage them in their endeavors. In the last few months, I've bought fixed blades from shadowknives, butcher_block, stag & steel, aablades, and dpknifemaker. All have been of superior quality and value, and all have cost less than a good production knife. It's time we support our guys, and get a great knife in return. Also, where else can you have a custom made product for less than a mass produced item? Think about it this holiday season. Thanks to the makers I have done business with. You do great work! Bill
 
I just got one from Shadowknives too, and I have one on order with Gene Ingram, although it won't be ready in time for Christmas. Just trying to do my part for the good of the knifemaking industry, you know... ;)
 
I have one coming in January from Russ Andrews. Got one a couple of months ago from Bruce Bump. Almost all of my customs have come from Bladeforums members.
 
Done. Just bought a custom off the "For Sale by Makers" section. I'm only sorry that I can't buy one every month.

I've taken the steps to buy many customs down the road, starting with Justin of Ranger knives. Justin is one of those guys that answers your question about where else you can get a custom made product for less than mass produced knives.

I too have bought several from makers here on BF and have been pleasantly satisfied.
My favorite being a custom #21 by David Winston, from MS
